Head On Out is an award-winning outdoor company delivering rock climbing, scrambling and mountaineering. We include transport wherever possible - keeping our carbon footprint low and staying ahead of the weather to find the best conditions, giving you maximum time on the rock.

Whatever your level
We cater to all ages, abilities and aspirations. From complete beginners to seasoned leaders, we have something for you. You might be an indoor climber looking to move outdoors, or a competent second keen to learn to lead. Perhaps you’ve always wanted to climb on sea cliffs, or tackle that classic mountain scramble? One step ahead of the weather
Because we’re not tied to one specific location, on our day trips we can choose where to go depending on the weather conditions. Our unique, flexible approach allows us to stay one step ahead – if it’s raining in one area, we simply visit somewhere else. Our instructor team have an expert working knowledge of venues all over the country; when you book with us, every crag is a local crag.
Door to rock, all-inclusive service
Every one of our open trips and courses includes travel to and from the crag as standard. We provide all the kit that you need, and even book accommodation should you require it. All you need to do is turn up – we organise the rest. Minimum hassle, maximum time on the rock. We collect from Bristol and London, but even if you live elsewhere, we can put together a trip for you - get in touch with us to discuss options.
Where can we go?
With over 30 different rock types and 30,000 routes, the UK is bursting with climbing. Everything from roadside crags to remote mountains, we have it all, in some of the most beautiful wild spaces the UK has to offer.
